Suigetsu by seven-s Suigetsu by seven-s
Created with Ultra Fractal 5.04 using the 990807b Julia in mt.ufm and the Julia (Inverted) in dmj.ufm.

'Suigetsu' literally translates as 'moon-in-water' in Japanese. (There are alternative meanings, depending on the context. One of them is 'solar plexus', often used in the martial arts.)

I was undecided about the background colour and made three versions; the other two had pale pink and deep orange backgrounds respectively. Eventually chose to put up this one. Decisions, decisions...:phew::)

Amazing! you did the water ripple effect also in UF? Great job in all!

Yes, the water ripple effect is created by applying the 'Lake transformation' in UF. Thanks, again!:)

This is just awesome Seven! :clap:
I truly love it sooo much! It's gorgeous, and I like this colour you chose in trying to decide which version... I don't know, I probably would have ended up liking them all, :lol: but maybe cause it goes best with the moon scene, ya know?
But really it's amazing! I know that part of the title meant "moon" but I didn't get the water part... maybe cause my cat's name is Tsuki??? And from what I have learned means "white moon"...
Though I studied quite a bit of Japanese before, in two college courses, but unfortunately forgot a lot of it...
I hope it would come back to me if I took it again sometime.

Anyhoooooo.

Thank you so much, Tea! Yes, I chose the blue because it highlighted the moonlight more. The others had look of the moon of dawn and dusk respectively.

'Sui' is the water part, as you may have guessed. 'Tsuki' is also a word for 'moon' and 'tsukimi' is moon viewing. 'Tsuki' also means thrust. (Again I know that because of my martial arts background :lol:)

Many thanks again for the wonderful comment!:bow::rose::hug:

Thank you so much!:bow::rose:

I use Ultra Fractal which has a 'lake transformation' option which automatically creates that effect.

Oh wow! Ultra Fractal sounds great! I've been trying to make water effects for ages, but have only been able to create very small or narrow pictures up till now.

I have to say, this is very creative and original.

It reminds me of that spiraled hill that uncoils when Jack Skellington walks on it in The Nightmare Before Christmas.
