View from Mars

This is a result of experimenting with the 'Formel von Al #8' of UF 5.04's Public folder akl.ufm. Again, something changes when rendering to disc; the 'red soil' on the landscape looks grainy and sand-like in UF, but it goes away when I render to disc.

About the title...After making View from Jupiter[link] I thought of doing a series with a few other planets. All of these will be abstract, of course, not meant to be taken literally, but there will be a kernel of something representative of each planet in the respective pieces. Mars, though, may very well look like what you see in this piece!

This is going to be followed up with View from Mercury (which has no atmosphere and is full of craters making plenty of valleys, troughs and ridges across the landscape) and then View from Venus (which has a very dense, reflective atmosphere, and may be actively volcanic according to what I have read).

(I haven't made pieces for other planets yet, but I might make something for Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, which will be similar to Jupiter as they are all 'Jovian' in nature.)
